#184: Special Edition with Guest DJ Pam Grossman of The Witch Wave
Radio Oscura with Heather Vee February 1, 2020
On Saturday, February 1, 2020 (Imbolc!), Radio Oscura host Heather Vee welcomed Pam Grossman—creator/host of The Witch Wave podcast and author of Waking the Witch—to the Downtown Radio studio in Tucson for a conversation about her work (detailed below), what it’s like for Neko Case to blurb your book, the music that she holds dear to her heart, like the holy trinity of Tori Amos, PJ Harvey, and Björk, and much more. We also played a selection of music curated by Pam herself.
Pam Grossman is the author of the highly acclaimed Waking the Witch: Reflections on Women, Magic, and Power (Gallery Books), which examines why we are so fascinated by the archetype of the witch in art, politics, and culture. She is also the creator and host of the hugely popular and influential The Witch Wave podcast (now in its third season!), which features Pam’s conversations about art and Craft with a diverse roster of important figures in witchcraft and the arts.
Radio Oscura airs every Tuesday, 7-9p MST.
