    “Paleo” Dave Paiz’s love affair with radio began in South Texas way back in the mid-’70’s when as a boy he used to call in and pester the DJ’s at a local Top 40 station in Corpus Christi. After moving to Southern Arizona in 1977 and several long, strange decades since doing everything from soldiering to science writing to field archaeology, in the summer of 2005 Dave finally made his on-air debut on KXCI Community Radio and launched Bat Country Radio in June of the following year. Garage au go-go is a weekly dive into the audible delights of the garage band scene, including the early British beat and psychedelic rock of the 60’s, fringe rock of the 80’s and snotty garage punk of the 90’s and beyond. It is a varietal weekly dance party! Your host, Mike Ohno, a garage band enthusiast for years is no stranger to the garage band scene himself, having been the host of the cable access music variety show “Rockstock” in the mid 80’s, to being guitar player and co-founder of the Phoenix based garage outfit, “Thee Oh No’s”. Mike brings you sometimes gritty, sometimes funky, sometimes far out — but always interesting world of garage band music.
