Tempest Broog

DJ Cozmik Jon, host and founder of Tempest Broog, hails from the planet Saturn, specifically the village of Vish, near the capital city of Rahn. His birth name and age remain unknown. Notably, Saturn's inhabitants, who physically resemble humans, exhibit a slower aging process. It is difficult to guess CJ's age. At sixteen, Cozmik was introduced to the Jazz and Rock music from Britain and the United States of the late 1960s and early 1970s by Sun Ra, an experimental Jazz musician, also from Saturn and a family friend. This exposure to said music profoundly impacted Cozmik. In 1994, he crashed his starship, The Biosphere Blur, in Gates Pass, a desert region outside the Tucson city limits, and now broadcasts his show from the Starship Dogstar, after the destruction of The Biosphere Blur in 2022.

In 1996, Cozmik launched Tempest Broog on KXCI Community Radio in Tucson, adopting the persona of an Earthling. Tempest Broog showcased old and current Progressive, Psychedelic, Space, and Experimental Rock as it does to this day. The show relocated to KMKR FM in 2019, and Cozmik Jon and B.B. (his robotic chum, pilot, and co-host), are now happy to migrate, broadcast, and stream on Downtown Radio! Hoozah!
